About the Workshop

IZA aims at encouraging new research at the intersection of behavioral and labor economics. The goal of this conference is to provide a platform for PhD students and recent graduates to present their research in these areas and receive feedback on their work. Contributions from all areas and applications of behavioral and labor economics are welcome, including empirical and theoretical research.

The workshop targets current PhD students and early-career researchers who have graduated in or after 2024 and work as postdocs and assistant professors or equivalent.

Submission

Researchers interested in participating should submit the application by January 31, 2025. We consider full papers as well as extended abstracts (up to 8000 characters). Notifications of acceptance will be provided by February 28, 2025.

We expect the submitter being the presenter of the paper.

Costs

The conference will be hosted and sponsored by IZA. There is no conference fee. Conference meals and accommodation will be covered for all invited participants.

We encourage participants to acquire funding for travel.

If financial assistance is needed for travel, please indicate this on the online application form. Selected participants will only be eligible to receive financial assistance if they have indicated this on the application form.

Kindly note that tax regulations prohibit IZA from fully reimbursing travel expenses of conference participants who combine their trip with other destinations or extend their stay beyond the four-day window surrounding the event.
