Marie Olivier Marie is Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics of the School of Business of Economics of Maastricht University in The Netherlands. He obtained his PhD from Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL) in 2010 and holds and MSc from the London School of Economics (LSE). He is a Research Associate of the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at the LSE, a Research Network Affiliate of the CESifo Group in Munich, and a Fellow at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Markets (ROA) at Maastricht University.

His main research interests include: the economics of crime, economics of education, labour economics, micro-econometrics, policy evaluation.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in August 2014.
