Kerry L. Papps

Papps Kerry Papps is a senior lecturer in economics at the University of Bath. Previously, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Economics and Nuffield College, Oxford, and a research analyst at the New Zealand Department of Labour. He received his Ph.D. in labour economics from Cornell University in 2007. Among other topics, his publications and working papers have focused on the labour supply decisions of married women, the assimilation experiences of immigrants, optimal team construction in major league baseball and the disemployment effects of different policies that raise labour costs. Kerry has been a recipient of the A.R. Bergstrom Prize in Econometrics and a Fulbright Scholarship.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in November 2001 and became a Research Fellow in May 2008.
