About the Workshop

We are delighted to announce the 12th IZA Annual Migration Meeting (AM2) and the 5th Migration Topic Week (MTW).
AM2 is a well-established and well-sought after international conference because of its high academic standards, papers on the frontier of the field, renowned keynote speakers, intense opportunities for discussion and debate as well as its memorable social events. The meeting is the flagship of the IZA Migration area. In 2015, the 12th AM2 will be combined with the 5th Migration Topic Week (MTW) and will span for one week in a city that has a long history on migration.

The meeting will take place at the Consortium pour la Recherche Economique et Sociale (CRES).
We invite submissions of high quality academic work that extends, enriches, refines, and challenges our understanding of the broad array of issues related to migration. Researchers are expected to present their best ongoing cutting-edge work. Following tradition, the conference will be organized in a manner designed to foster interaction and exchange of ideas among the participants in a relaxed atmosphere.
The 2015 AM2 Julian Simon Lecture will be delivered by Graziella Bertocchi (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and IZA). A special lecture will be delivered by Klaus F. Zimmermann (IZA and University of Bonn).
Those authors who are invited are required to participate in the entire migration topic week meeting. The meeting will start on Monday, April 20 and end on Saturday, April 25. Arrival is scheduled for Sunday April 19. The migration topic week includes several migration scientific and social events such as a visit to the Goree island and St. Louis.
