About the Workshop |
|
Unemployment insurance schemes changed in many countries in the last great recession. Several countries increased the duration of unemployment benefits, reinforced the coaching of unemployed workers, provided more training programs or facilitated short-time work compensation. The aim of this workshop is to analyze these changes with theoretical and empirical contributions. Papers dealing with unemployment insurance over the business cycle, unemployment dynamics and short-time work compensation are particularly welcome. |

Submission |

Those who wish to participate in the workshop are invited to submit a complete paper (extended abstracts will also be considered) using our online application form.

The deadline for submission is March 25, 2011. |

|
Decisions of acceptance will be announced no later than April 8, 2011. Complete papers will be due May 5, 2011. |

Funding |
|
Economy class air travel costs for presenters of papers that have been accepted will be reimbursed according to IZA travel guidelines. |
|
|
IZA will also provide accommodation, breakfasts, lunches and dinners at the workshop venue. |
