About the Conference |
The aim of the conference is to present and discuss the latest policy-relevant research to foster the creation of multi-sector, multi-disciplinary solutions to jobs challenges around the world based on research and empirical evidence. In addition to the regular sessions in all fields of labor economics and development, special sessions on Development Processes, Jobs and Labor Market Outcomes will be featured. In particular, we are interested in papers on:
- Economic growth and changing labor market outcomes
- The relationship between technological progress and technology adoption, and job creation and wage inequality
- Productivity growth, structural change, and the role of manufacturing and services in development process
- Educational expansion, utilization of skills and wage premia
- Demographic change, youth employment, prolonging working lives
- Job quality, informality and labor market segmentation
- Occupational and geographical mobility of labor
- Energy transitions, job creation and demand for skills

Submission |
Please submit full papers or extended abstracts by January 15, 2018 using our online application form. Notifications on contributed papers will be sent by February 15, 2018. |

Travel and Accommodation |
Authors of accepted papers are expected to participate in the whole two day conference. The organizers will reimburse accommodation for up to 3 nights according to IZA's reimbursement guidelines and provide meals during the conference. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed by the organizers. |
